The School of Traditional Taekwon-Do has its headquarters in Banks, Oregon. It is owned and operated by Grand Master Michael Hansen and 5th Dan Master Anita Hansen, with satellite school locations in Oregon and California. The School of Traditional Taekwon-Do teaches the original, traditional Taekwon-Do and is not affiliated with any national or international Taekwon-Do governing organization. The patterns practiced are the original Chang Hun styles which are those of the International Taekwon-Do Federation as created by General Choi Hong Hi. Sparring is practiced in a non-contact manner, which is different than the Taekwon-Do sparring that is performed in Olympic competition.

Grand Master Hansen began teaching Taekwon-Do in 1981 in the greater Portland area as well as the Oregon coast. He has taught law enforcement officials and also at risk adolescents. Grand Master Hansen teaches the beginners class as well as the evening classes.



5th Dan Master Anita Hansen has been teaching since 1985 in the greater Portland area. Her expertise is with children and she teaches the afternoon/kids classes.
